How Far We've Come

Sometimes when we're struggling to get to a new level of our talent, career, mindset, etc., it's easy to forget just how far we've already come.
I recently digitized some old cassette tapes from my childhood and found this gem of a clip. It's my shy, quiet, pre-teen self trying VERY HARD to sing my favorite Christmas song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Click the picture of the cassette player below to hear the THEN vs. NOW comparison of just how far my ability to use/control my voice has come.
I hope this video inspires you to think about something YOU have worked on for a long time and helps you remember how far you have come, too!

Louisiana friends! Y’all have been asking where you can hear me sing…
THIS SUNDAY I’ll be performing from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for the Jazz Listening Room Northshore at the beautiful Southern Hotel in Covington, LA! I’ll be backed by John Autin (piano) and KASS (bass), plus my ukulele for a few special songs.
Come on out for an evening of music and fun, and help celebrate my birthday a week early!
